Summary
We have a brand-new role for a Head of Data on a mostly remote basis, with some very occasional travel to central London. This role is exclusively available through Oscar Technology.
This role is responsible for spearheading the company’s use of data, therefore we are looking for someone who is a big picture thinker with the ability to lead strategy, planning and delivery. You should have strong stakeholder management experience and an enthusiasm to promote data culture and digital transformations.
We are looking for someone who is ready to provide leadership, contribute your technical knowledge, and improve the maturity of data culture and skills.
The Role
We are looking for someone to take on leadership of the data division with a strong initial focus on:
Master Data Management
Data Governance
Setting a “Data Culture”
As the role develops there is certainly the opportunity to move towards building analytical solutions, dashboards and potentially AI solutions. But, there is work to be done in order to get to that stage.
We are looking for someone who can be an evangelist for data usage and best practices within the business. You will also probably need to add to the team, so be responsible for recruitment, training, development and management.

This is working for a company in the public sector with a significant program of work, they are making some major improvements to a number of key business systems.
