Job Description

As the Senior Analyst working in our Global Commerce & Channels function you will be responsible for surfacing insight relating to our market strategies and trading dynamics. The focus point for this role is understanding performance dynamics within our key markets across customers, products, marketing, as well as the onsite experience. Over time, you may move on to other priorities such as, width and depth optimisation, price point analysis, digital trading dynamics or customer behaviour trends.

The Details

Interrogate internal and external data to surface holistic insight relating to performance drivers at market level, drawing out opportunities and risks and resulting actions for the business
Measurement and analysis of our core trading KPIs such as visits, conversion, customers and our product offering and pricing
Provide an end-to-end understanding into why purchased items are returned, both at a customer and product level.
Deep understanding of our market intelligence toolset and utilising this data to gain understanding of how competitor and market dynamics impact our own performance
Work with senior leadership in function to develop market strategies balancing growth and profitability
Tell compelling, data led stories to highlight these opportunities and be comfortable presenting these to senior management
Act as a data champion within the function, working with the teams to upskill and educate on data and insight
Work closely with business stakeholders like the product and marketing teams to gain deep understanding of business processes and decisions which impact market and trade performance
Work closely with finance to ensure you understand how we measure and forecast market performance
Build and maintain a network across the wider data teams, especially insight analysts, the AI team and data services to drive knowledge and capability sharing

Qualifications

About You

Experience working in an insight role focussing on market or retail insight, preferably within the e-commerce space
Strong SQL and Adobe skills, experience within advanced analytics
Strong story telling skills and a proven track record of shaping business decisions through insight
Highly numerate and strong attention to detail
Passion for problem solving
Proactive approach and enthusiasm for sharing ideas and driving them forward
Able to communicate information clearly and concisely
Good project management skills, able to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities as needed
