We’re looking for a Senior Developer to provide technical leadership, coach our team, and help shape the future of how we work. If you thrive on problem-solving, innovation, and mentoring others, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
Who Are We?
We build simulation-driven digital twins, empowering organizations to make data-driven decisions. You may not have heard of us, but our software is used by major global brands like Nike, Ford, Apple, and the NHS to optimize their operations.
And it’s not just about profits. Through our Tech for Good initiatives, we’ve helped save millions of lives in South Africa by optimizing HIV testing and played a crucial role in ramping up vaccine rollouts worldwide. Join us, and your work will truly make a difference.
What’s the Opportunity?
As a Senior Developer, you’ll spend around 70% of your time coding, but just as importantly, you’ll help modernize our engineering processes and drive technical growth across the team. You’ll:
Maintain code quality—our software makes million-pound decisions, so every detail counts.
Advocate for best practices in coding, testing, and software delivery.
Conduct peer reviews, ensuring high standards of collaboration and code quality.
Contribute to architectural design to build scalable, sustainable solutions.
Drive adoption of consistent coding standards and documentation.
Help define the technical direction of projects.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, from adopting new tools to evolving development processes.
What Skills Do You Need?
We’re looking for someone with experience in some of the following areas. Don’t worry if you don’t tick every box—what matters most is your passion for learning and growth.
Front-End Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Back-End Development: Proficiency in languages such as Node.js, C#, Python, or C++.
DevOps & Infrastructure: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Bicep.
What’s in It for You?
At Simul8, we love what we do, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously! We foster a collaborative, fun, and supportive environment where everyone has a say in shaping our future.
Our Benefits Include:
Competitive salary & bonus
Real flexible working – providing an autonomous work environment and work/life balance that suits individual needs
31 days holiday (increasing over time) + option to buy more
