Ready to #setthetone with Believe?

Job Description

Innovative in the digital media industry, Believe is at the forefront of technology for audiovisual content distribution. With a dedicated team worldwide, we strive to revolutionize the way audio and video content is shared and consumed, focusing on scalable, resilient, and secure solutions.

As a Senior PHP and/or Java Developer, you will join our development team responsible for modernizing an innovative event-driven audiovisual distribution chain. Your role will be to develop critical business components, applying delivery rules and filters, managing each step of the delivery process for high-volume audio and video content (both in number and file size), and ensuring seamless distribution to platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and more.

You will be part of the IT department, which oversees the development of all Believe’s projects. The department consists of 150 people organized into agile teams. Since IT is a core business function, our technological challenges are significant: revamping our technology stack, building an extensible platform, and accelerating the industrialization of our systems to quickly integrate new acquisitions.

You will be part of the "Supply Chain" tribe, which lies at the heart of our distribution system, delivering the best services to artists. More specifically, you will join an agile "Delivery" squad responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that distribute artists' albums (Audio and Video) to Digital Streaming Platforms (DSPs) such as Spotify, Apple Music, and more.

As a Back-End Engineer, Your Key Missions Will Include

Actively integrating into and contributing to an agile team, with a strong focus on innovation and technical excellence.
Developing business-critical components in PHP or Java to efficiently manage the audiovisual content flow.
Mastering application containerization to ensure scalability and system reliability.
Working on cloud-based solutions and defining business workflow orchestration strategies.
Ensuring that developed solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and future-proof.
Participating in the specification and design of a new audiovisual distribution chain.
Collaborating closely with QA, architects, and SRE teams to ensure high-quality, reliable, and regular deliveries.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in PHP or Java development, ideally in audiovisual content management.
Strong expertise in modern PHP (Symfony) or Java (Spring) frameworks.
Proficiency in event-driven solutions and related technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub).
Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and SonarQube.
Strong skills in application containerization and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of DDEX standards is a plus.

You are used to fast-paced agile environments and can demonstrate adaptability and responsiveness.

You have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable leading meetings in English.
