Contract Data Governance Consultant – Outside IR35
Location: London-based (mostly remote)
Rate: £450-£600 per day
Duration: 6 Months

Are you passionate about data governance and ready to make an impact? A leading technology consultancy is seeking a Data Governance Consultant to support their growing data and AI practice.

About the Company:
Historically focused on software engineering, this consultancy has recently expanded into data and AI services. However, they’ve hit a common roadblock: poor data quality is limiting AI potential. The old adage "rubbish in, rubbish out" has never been more relevant!
To tackle this, they need a Data Governance Specialist who can:
Upskill the internal team on data governance best practices.
Support the Head of AI in scoping client projects and advising on data governance strategies.

What You'll Be Doing:
Establishing data governance frameworks to ensure clients can leverage AI effectively.
Training and mentoring internal teams on data quality, metadata management, and compliance.
Collaborating with the Head of AI to define best practices for client engagements.
Assessing client data landscapes and recommending governance improvements.

What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in data governance, data management, or data quality.
Ability to educate and mentor teams with varying levels of data expertise.
Strong understanding of AI and data governance challenges in modern enterprises.
Experience advising consultancies or tech companies is a plus.

About the Role We are looking for a Senior BI Manager to lead and drive the successful delivery of Power BI-based data projects within a global marketing environment. Experience with AWS, or Azure Data Services is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of marketing data analytics, including campaign performance, customer segmentation, and attribution modelling. Ability to work with structured and unstructured data, integrating multiple data sources. Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or similar certification. This role ensures the secure handling and timely submission of technical documentation and reports while maintaining data integrity and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and control the central reference system for program documentation. Generate and submit required customer reports, including IUID, EEL, and ADBOM SDRLs.
