Must-have requirements:
Full-stack TypeScript expertise (Node.js & React)
Knowledge of Python
Recent experience working in a start-up environment.
0-1 product development experience
Knowledge of AWS & SQL (or other cloud platforms)
Full right-to-work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Bonus points for experience with:
Experience building AI products, with a good understanding of GenAI/LLMs.
Experience scaling teams in an early-stage start-up (from angel to seed onwards).
Experience building B2B SaaS products
The Opportunity:
Following a successful funding round, they’re scaling their real-time analytics platform and need a Head of Engineering to lead the build-out. As the first engineering hire, you'll own the technical strategy, architecture, and product roadmap, transitioning the platform from a low-code MVP to a highly scalable system.
You’ll collaborate closely with the founders and ML engineers, working with major brands to help them optimise social commerce performance.
The role will initially require hands-on engineering, whilst managing their two Machine Learning Engineers. You will be responsible for scaling the team and the position offers a rapid progression to a Director/C-level position in the business. As a result, the ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineering leader with experience scaling teams, and candidates with this experience will be prioritised.
The Founders and Business:
The Co-Founders have deep expertise in social commerce and AI, including leadership experience at major social commerce brands and strong connections with top global brands. They already have incredible traction from major brands during their pilots, and have ambitions to reach $500k ARR by the end of 2025.
