Job Description

As a Test Engineer you will, support the Lead Engineer in the management and execution of all Test & Development Build

activities to ensure successful, on-time Certification and delivery of all new seating projects.

Key Responsibilities

Understand the test requirements of multiple concurrently running programs and prioritise test activity accordingly
Organise & execute test activities using the in-house rig for static, abuse & cyclic testing
Lead the dynamic test activities at an external test facility.
Record data during tests comprehensively and convert this into clear and concise test reports for both internal and external customers
Liaise with the development build teams to ensure seat builds are on schedule to meet test schedule
Support the continuous improvement of test methods to improve the efficiency and quality of test activity

To be successful in this position, you will have/be;

At least an HND in a Mechanical Engineering discipline (or experience to a similar level)
Previous experience working in a test environment
Ability to work under own initiative
Ability to work under pressure while achieving challenging deadlines.
Excellent written & verbal communication
Ability to analyse the results & data from multiple tests and present the data concisely to peers, Senior Management and Executive leadership
Ability to react effectively to regularly changing schedules, priorities and test requirements
Proficient use of standard workshop tools is essential
