We’re working with a rapidly growing technology company that specialises in high-performance GPU rental solutions, private cloud infrastructure, and hardware sales. As they continue to scale, they are looking for a highly skilled and versatile engineer to take ownership of infrastructure, automation, and virtualisation.

This is a hands-on role that blends elements of DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, and Virtualisation, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimising internal GPU clusters and managing client deployments across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Virtualisation
Design, deploy, and maintain GPU-based virtualised environments.
Manage and scale GPU servers for high availability and performance.
Oversee storage and networking configurations for virtualised workloads.
Develop and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Ensure security best practices are enforced across all infrastructure.
DevOps & Automation
Create and manage automation pipelines for deployments.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Monitor and enhance system performance using logging and observability tools.
Develop automation solutions for provisioning, scaling, and maintenance.
Support containerisation efforts with Docker/Kubernetes where applicable.
Networking & System Administration
Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs.
Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues within data centres.
Ensure system stability, performance monitoring, and uptime.
Perform system updates, patch management, and security hardening.

What They're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
Strong hands-on experience with Proxmox or similar hypervisor technologies.
Solid Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, Debian, etc.).
Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
Knowledge of GPU servers and high-performance computing environments.
Experience managing virtualised environments, storage, and networking.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have):
Experience with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
Basic scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
