At Dataroots, we combine our consulting approach with strong technical skills to build machine learning models that help businesses improve how they operate. What we’re looking for
You're strongly motivated to become an excellent Machine Learning Engineer.
Solving problems is what drives you, and you understand Machine Learning is a means to achieve this, not the end itself.
You have a solid foundation in Machine Learning theory and have trained and/or deployed your first AI models.
GenAI is more than a vague news term to you. You’re familiar with the concept on a more than superficial level.
Programming in Python and SQL is something you’re very comfortable with.
Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure are not entirely new to you. You’ve been in contact with at least one.
You have heard of tools like Apache Spark and Databricks and understand their use in the data landscape.
CI/CD or MLOps aren't Star Wars characters and you’re aware of this. You are interested in learning about data architecture and infrastructure.
Picking up on new technologies and frameworks comes naturally to you and doesn’t scare you.
You have an analytics and solution oriented mindset.
Helping clients in overcoming their challenges energizes you. You have strong communication skills and like putting them to use.
A first practical experience is considered a big plus (internship, personal project, first professional experience,…)
You speak Dutch & English fluently, knowledge of French is a plus.
This list was probably a bit much. Don't worry, we don't expect you to tick every box from the beginning. Most of all: we are looking for colleagues with the same passion for personal and team development as the rest of us
The Offer
+ An attractive salary with extralegal benefits, including:
Mobility budget or a company car with fuel/charging card
Hospitalization and group insurance
High-end laptop

+ Opportunities for individual training and team learning.
+ Tons of team-building events and sports initiatives to stay connected and unwind.
Where you’ll work
Our main offices are in Leuven and Ghent, with co-working spaces in Antwerp. These spaces are perfect for both focusing and unwinding with colleagues, as well as brainstorming sessions and team events. While much of your work can be performed remotely, you will also work on-site with clients.
