The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Summer Intern within the Training Services Department to support Data Analyst within our B2B sales team. This is a remote position with limited travel.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview)

The Training Services Summer Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to gain work experience in a non-profit organization. During the 10-week program, students receive training and develop their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced professionals. The 2025 Summer Internship program will run from May 28, 2025, through August 1, 2025.

The Data Analyst Intern will be responsible for conducting data analysis within our B2B sales channels that require structured pricing strategies. They will analyze data, build reports to showcase current pricing models, identify areas for optimization, and provide recommendations to enhance future pricing structures. This role will play a key part in shaping our pricing approach to support business growth.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

Conduct data analysis to assess current pricing structures across the four B2B sales channel verticals and identify areas for improvement.
Determine pricing minimums and maximums by vertical and product family.
Identify overlap between B2B sales channel verticals and assess its impact on pricing strategy.
Develop insights into where we are today vs. where we want to be in the future.
Create actionable recommendations to optimize pricing and resolve existing challenges.
Present findings to key stakeholders and contribute to decision-making processes.

Standard Schedule: Monday- Friday Standard business hours.

The salary for this position is $20.00 an hour

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications)

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Internship is typically part of an undergraduate program which requires some university credit hours. Undergraduate Junior/Senior currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
Up to 1 year of related experience in data analysis, finance, operations, or a similar field.

Skills & Abilities

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in Excel (pivot tables/charts), Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
Understanding of pricing strategies, revenue modeling, or B2B sales structures is a plus.
Ability to translate data findings into actionable insights.
Professional written and verbal communication and the ability to present data findings in a clear and concise manner.
Travel: Ability to travel to attend in person meetings 10-20%. Must have valid driver’s license.
Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
