Due to periods of growth and expansion a leading organisation is recruiting now. My client is looking for Graduate Systems Engineers to join their amazing team.
Ideal candidates will have the following:
Qualified to degree level (2:1 or above)
A strong educational background to degree level in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics
Experience with MS Office
Professionally oriented, with demonstrable client-facing or customer facing skills
Able to achieve SC level UK security clearance
UK Driving Licence
Strong understanding/experience of Data analysis, Data Modelling, Predictive Systems Modelling and failure analysis
Desirable:
Maths A-Level or equivalent
Understanding of MS Excel analysis techniques
Key Responsibilities:
Engaging with customers and contributing towards the delivery of contracts
Identifying problems and establishing creative solutions
Input to delivery services and analysing data sets for trends
Modelling scenarios to develop recommendations or authoring technical publications in support of maintenance activities
Managing new workstation builds and user setups
Engaging in the technical projects, including meeting clients

Senior Engineer - Highways Location - Norwich What you will be doing: An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer to join the Highways team at Galliford Try. You will work on our Infrastructure project and frameworks Ideally, you will be based locally, although we are open to subsiding relocation. As a Senior Engineer, you will take full responsibility for setting out, engineering control and quality in addition to coordinating and mentoring the site engineering team. Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment. Assist the Site Agent in planning and coordinating the project and resources. Coordination of subcontractors to ensure they achieve programme outputs. Write, review and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). Write, review and implement Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s). Ensure works are carried out as per ITP’s including correct engineering checks, hold points, inspections and tests. Manage the site engineering team, delegate tasks, train & mentor junior engineers and lead by example. Control and update programmes/attend coordination meetings and daily/2week/monthly and 3 monthly lookaheads as required. Ensure works are in accordance with the Specification Highways Works (SHW), Project Works Information and drawings. Raising design related Request for Information (RFI’s) and Technical Queries (TQ’s). Ensure accurate and timely records are kept including site diaries, quality assurance documentation (QA), photos, as-built surveys, red-line drawings and test results. Constant communication and liaison with the commercial team providing detailed information to allow for accurate financial reporting including compensation events (CE) and early warnings (EW’s). Manage snagging system that records and clears all snags and notifies commercial team and subcontractors. Control and minimise waste on site. Identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site. Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use. About You: Ability to work safely. Read & Interpret data and drawings. Advanced setting out techniques and able to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred. Relevant Civil Engineering experience (Highways, Rail, water or aviation). Proven leadership and delegation skills. Flexible attitude to work. Problem solving skills NVQ Level 3 or higher. SMSTS.
