The Pathogen Mission highlights EIT's transformative approach, using Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) and Oracle's cloud technology to create a global pathogen metagenomics system. This initiative aims to improve diagnostics, provide early epidemic warnings, and guide treatments by profiling antimicrobial resistance. The goal is to deliver certified diagnostic tools for widespread use in labs, hospitals, and public health.

EIT is looking for an Implementation Manager to oversee the onboarding of top-tier clinical and academic centers into the EIT Pathogena Networks of Excellence, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with regulatory standards. Serving as the primary operational liaison, you will drive successful partnerships by leveraging internal expertise and resources. In this role, you will develop tailored strategies to engage lower-resourced settings, expanding access to pathogen genomics. Additionally, as Implementation Manager you will represent EIT Pathogena externally, contribute to strategic planning, and lead global program implementation. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD or Master's in life sciences, possess deep expertise in genomics, and have a strong track record in establishing sequencing facilities and managing international collaborations in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the process of operationally onboarding leading clinical academic centres globally into the EIT Pathogena Networks of Excellence
Act as the operational focal point to ensure that partners become successfully established within the network, drawing on the expertise and support of colleagues across EIT Pathogena and the wider Ellison Institute of Technology as needed
Establish and oversee operational controls to ensure compliance with the required regulatory and legal frameworks
Develop and implement tailored operational approaches to bring clinical and academic partners in lower-resourced settings into the Networks of Excellence, expanding the reach of pathogen genomics
Represent EIT Pathogena externally at events and meetings, to partner well and to position the organisation for success
As a key member of the EIT Pathogena Implementation team, contribute to the strategic and operational plan to design and implement products and programs globally
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
A PhD or Master's qualification in the life sciences
Specialist understanding of genomics, spanning technical, operational and strategic levels. Experience with pathogen genomics is desirable
Experience and a track record of delivering success in operationalising sequencing facilities
Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory and legal frameworks
Experience and a track record of delivering success through collaborative partnerships, including at least some international experience
Experience in managing a range of stakeholders
Ability to work effectively in a high-growth, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple projects
Excellent oral and written communication skills, inter-personal skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds
Able and willing to travel internationally
