VASS BeNeLux, in partnership with the European Commission, is currently seeking an Expert Development Lead (ServiceNow) to work from the European Commission.
The role:
Responsibilities:
Lead Technical Implementation: Oversee the development and deployment of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management and associated integrations
Architecture and Integration: Support the Architect with defining the technical architecture, integrations and workflows
Governance: Enforce development standards and governance framework through peer review and mentorship.
Documentation: Support with documentation of the solution design, technical configuration, runbooks, release notes and other ad hoc technical documentation
General
Technical Leadership: Provide Technical Leadership and mentoring to developers, ensuring best practices in code quality, development methodologies, and tool usage.
Lead ServiceNow Development: Design, develop, configure and maintain the HAM application within the ServiceNow platform, focusing on mobile application configuration.
Mobile Application Development: Configure and deploy the Now Agent mobile application.
Integration Hub and API Management: Create and manage integrations between ServiceNow and other systems using Integration Hub and REST APIs.
Hardware Asset Management: Configuration, implementation and maintenance of the Hardware Asset Management application.
Flow Designer: Build and optimize workflows using Flow Designer, automating business processes and improving system efficiency.
Platform Enhancements: Propose, design and develop solutions to enhance ServiceNow functionality to meet business needs, particularly workflow creation and performance improvements.
You have:
Skills:
Experience as a Technical Lead in a ServiceNow programme
Proven expertise in ServiceNow development
Experience in integrating ServiceNow with SAP systems, focusing on asset data synchronization.
Proficiency in developing and customizing HAM workflows, catalog items, and automation scripts.
Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB structure and asset data alignment with hardware lifecycle stages.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub for SAP integration.
Solid understanding of asset depreciation, procurement, and retirement processes.
Excellent spoken and written knowledge of English (min.C1)
3+ years’ experience: working as a ServiceNow Developer
Strong experience in building workflows using Flow Designer.
Expertise in developing and maintain integrations using Integration Hub and REST APIs.
In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, GlideAPI and ServiceNow scripting.
Experience with agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:
Work shifts of 8 hours covering the time range between 07h00 and 20h00 from Monday to Friday with some flexibility required when overtime is exceptionally needed.
Possible locations:
Brussels or Luxemburg or another EU County: possibility to work in remote in full time (only from an EU Country) without having to travel (in Belgium/ Luxemburg) on a regular basis.
