Frontend Developer

Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Frontend Developer to join our team. This role will focus primarily on WordPress new builds and project/code management, as well as supporting existing Shopify sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of frontend technologies and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
Building new WordPress websites from scratch, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Managing WordPress projects, including maintaining clean, structured code and version control.
Supporting and maintaining existing Shopify websites, including theme modifications and plugin installations.
Working closely with an internal team (design, project management, other developers) to ensure seamless project delivery.
Testing your own work before deployment to ensure functionality and quality.
Using the latest, stable frontend technologies, (HTML, PHP, CSS and JS), to enhance website performance and user experience.
Required Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in frontend development.
Strong expertise in WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins.
Experience managing and maintaining Shopify sites, including theme updates and plugin integrations.
Proficiency in CSS and JavaScript to create visually appealing and functional interfaces.
Ability to test and debug your own work before handover.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in the office at least one day per week.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with Shopify Plus.
Client-facing experience, including gathering requirements and providing technical insights.
Knowledge of WooCommerce and its ecosystem of 3rd party modules
Experience with Graphic apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma or Canva
Experience with kanban project management boards
