We are looking for a Network & Data Center Support Engineer to join our team at a client’s facility in Rungis, Val-De-Marne. This is an onsite and permanent position.


Tasks & Responsibilities

Troubleshoot issues with fiber links between switches – Able to visualize errors and communicate to remote technical teams
Troubleshoot and replace network switch chassis blades when required.
Adding memory/flash to existing Non-End User Devices or Devices;
Patching, moving an existing switch or router;
Patch phone ports to switch as needed.
Basic troubleshooting of VOIP phones (knowledge of basic configuration)
Racking and patching any new Non-End User Devices or Device(s);
Decommissioning a single Non-End User Device or Device, including verifying the impact of such decommissioning and/or shutting the Device down;
Installing new, or moving existing, access points for coverage expansion – No higher than usage of a 6-foot ladder; however for a higher ladder parties shall mutually discuss and agree.
Conducting Site surveys, including asset inventory validation;
Conduct WLAN surveys; installing, decommissioning or moving WAP;
Installing, decommissioning, or moving WLC;
Installing, decommissioning, or moving Smart Edge;
Installing or decommissioning Firewall;
installing, decommissioning or modifying WAN acceleration; Installing, decommissioning or modifying the VPN Gateway;
Granting Site access for the Customer’s third parties.
Assist network and data center admins (Internal, Customer, and Vendor) as required during the course of technical troubleshooting
You may also be required to conduct conference room equipment upgrades where they are swapping devices and following the provided step-by-step processes.

Job Requirements

Bac+2 -Bac+5 Degree in IT or relevant field
Good command of English and French
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience of Network Devices such as Cisco Switches, Routers, Wireless Access Points
Basics knowledge/understanding of assigning switch ports to specific VLANs
Good to have an understanding of any Data Center Infrastructure Management Application
Basic knowledge about Hardware like Servers and storage devices
Able to perform IMACD Installation, Move, Add, Change, and Disposal Services of the Data Center, network equipment
Have hands-on experience in large/medium enterprise Data Centers or hosting sites consisting of Servers, Storage, and Network devices
Good problem-solving and communication skills
Able to handle challenging situations that arise in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
Able to be cooperative, supporting colleagues during troubleshooting, and sharing knowledge
