Generalist Solutions Architect (Senior):
Leads the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas as per the need
Ability to work across multiple projects and portfolios to deliver High Level Solutions designs
Leads the preparation of technical plans and ensures that appropriate technical resources are made available
Ensures that appropriate tools and methods are available, understood and employed in architecture development
Provides technical guidance and governance on solution development and integration
Evaluates requests for changes, and deviations from specifications, and recommends actions
Provide technical expertise and work with other CIO domains to ensure all design angles are covered
Ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly
Strong understanding of security, data and service architecture, as they will be accountable for these areas, but these area's will provide the content for the High Level Designs
They will be able to challenge decisions, respectfully, based on knowledge and experience, to ensure that the design is within Client's standards
They will not introduce unnecessary design debt or cost to the delivery
Able to collaborate well within a high performing architecture team and can go the extra mile to help each other and the rest of the Client teams to ensure that the right outcome is delivered
Have an easy manner and collaborate freely
Insurance industry knowledge would be a bonus, but not essential
