We are seeking an experienced Perception Engineer to provide maternity cover for a critical role within our ADAS sensor team. This position focuses on interior radar perception systems and requires someone who can drive technical initiatives with minimal guidance, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and establish clear requirements and testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:-

Requirements & Performance
Lead the development and alignment of perception requirements across stakeholders
Define and validate KPIs for sensor performance
Drive agreement on performance metrics with suppliers
Establish clear frameworks for engineering signoff
Testing & Validation
Define and lead perception testing strategies
Develop and manage test catalogues
Lead exploratory testing initiatives
Analyze and validate test results
Drive issue resolution and performance improvements
Application & Reapplication
Define and lead the process for reapplication of interior radar perception system
Establish consistent delivery processes between carlines where currently lacking
Manage virtual phase, data collection, and integration/reapplication testing
Conduct and document impact assessments for reapplication activities
Plan and justify resource allocation for reapplication activities
Support technical integration:
Manage technical issues and defect triage
Provide technical guidance and support
Drive resolution of integration challenges
Stakeholder Management
Act as primary point of contact for perception-related matters
Manage relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers
Coordinate with internal teams (Systems, Diagnostics, Hardware, Project, Testing)
Drive clarity and alignment across stakeholder groups
Project Planning & Management
Develop and maintain project timelines and deliverables
Prioritize and manage multiple competing workstreams
Track and report on progress of key initiatives
Identify and mitigate risks proactively
Create and maintain task management frameworks
Lead sprint planning and task allocation where required
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in automotive perception systems
Strong background in requirements definition and management
Experience in testing and validation of sensor systems
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance
Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with suppliers
Experience in ADAS development and testing
Familiarity with automotive development processes and tools
Proven ability to plan and manage complex technical projects
Experience with Agile methodologies and task management tools
