Responsibilities:
Build, lead and mentor a small team of PHP developers fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Initially manage a handful of offshore remote developers whilst the in-house team grows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Design and implement scalable, efficient, and maintainable PHP-based applications.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the team's skills and keep our technology stack up-to-date.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborating with the support team when necessary.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a PHP Developer, with a track record of successfully leading development teams.
Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and related technologies.
Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
Solid understanding of software architecture, design principles, and best practices.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) and integration with back-end services.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and inspire the development team.
