Summary
Oscar are just kicking off the search for a Data Scientist with 2 years’ experience, to join a well-established company that we have placed professionals with for many years. This is a great opportunity to join a successful company with a busy data division, to contribute to their overall business growth.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis (3 days on-site / 2 days WFH) with offices based in the Rochdale, Greater Manchester area.

The Role
Your Data Science expertise will be integral to optimizing pricing and marketing strategies. You’ll be joining a team to be involved in the development of predictive models, analysing datasets, A/B testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

To be a standout candidate you will need to be a detail-orientated and proactive individual with strong analytical skills, preferably come from a statistical / pricing environment background, who is able to take ownership of technical tasks. As you’ll be presenting your dashboards and visualisations to technical and non-technical team members, you’ll need to have fantastic communication skills!

Responsibilities
Work alongside pricing teams to gather data requirements and share your insights across the company.
Create dashboards, reports and visualizations
Design and conduct pricing experiments
Analyse large datasets to implement data-driven strategies
Build, deploy and maintain predictive models using machine learning and optimization techniques
