The Workflow Automations and Document Management teams play crucial roles in building seamless automation workflows and other business processes that simplify complex and tedious HR tasks for our customers—particularly larger enterprises with intricate operational needs. This is a critical business area, with plans to double the team size in 2025 to support our growing impact.

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of 6-8 engineers across full stack, product, and platform engineering, helping shape our future by driving scalable automation solutions. You will play a pivotal role in fostering engineering excellence, navigating product ambiguity, and collaborating across multiple teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.

Partner with L6 engineering managers, L7 directors, and product teams to create well-aligned, strategic engineering roadmaps.
Work across multiple business units, navigating cross-functional dependencies and ensuring alignment with broader company goals.

What You Need To Succeed

Proven leadership experience: 3+ years of hands-on people management, successfully leading and scaling engineering teams.
Strong engineering background: 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in scalable distributed systems.
Technical acumen: Comfortable engaging in deep technical discussions with engineers and improving system performance metrics.
Product-first mindset: Experience working in a product triad setup, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and complexity.
Stakeholder management: Excellent ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and drive alignment across multiple teams.
Ownership & decision-making: Skilled at creating strategic proposals and leading collaborative decision-making.
Experience managing remote teams: The team includes engineers across London, Dublin, Germany, and New York, so remote leadership skills are a plus.
