ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to ensure the performance, availability, and continuous improvement of our database services. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and upgrading database systems to support business and technology architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor the performance of assigned systems and implement measures to ensure optimal performance and high availability of database services.
Define and implement database backup strategies and maintain a valid recovery plan.
Develop and execute an upgrade strategy to keep the database environment current.
Manage, upgrade, and patch the BI stack, including Oracle Analytics, Weblogic, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS).
Select and implement appropriate database infrastructure configurations to support business and technology architectures.
Perform routine installation, re-configuration, and backups of databases and related products in both on-premises and cloud environments.
Develop and configure tools to automate database administration tasks.
Keep software lifecycle management of database products up to date.
Monitor performance statistics and create reports.
Ensure 24/7 operation, monitoring, maintenance, and system administration of all assigned systems related to providing database platform services.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of DBMS technologies (Oracle, MySQL Server, and PostgreSQL) with sound experience in at least two.
Good understanding of MySQL High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions (MySQL InnoDB Cluster, MySQL InnoDB Replicaset, MySQL InnoDB ClusterSet, MySQL Replication).
Proficiency in Oracle Analytics with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS).
Good understanding of ORDS, Apache HTTP, and Tomcat administration.
Current and in-depth knowledge and practical working experience with the latest versions of operating systems (Linux/UNIX and MS Windows Server).
A good understanding of advanced architectures for High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, such as server clustering.
Security Clearance (Mandatory).
