What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a Regulatory Specialist to come and join our Global Regulatory Team, based in Brussels as we continue with exciting projects, facilitating communications worldwide.

As a Regulatory Specialist, you will research and learn about a variety of legal and regulatory compliance topics in the countries in which Bandwidth operates in and related to Bandwidth’s products and operational processes. You will report to the Director, Global Regulatory.

You will work with different business units to document relevant information about Bandwidth’s products and operational processes. You will monitor regularly and report internally on industry topics and changes that may impact the business and will identify actions to be taken in order to ensure compliance of Bandwidth’s products globally.

You will provide support to Regulatory Counsels during drafting or negotiations of different types of service agreements with suppliers and during other company projects. You will provide support to maintain regulatory information and filings up to date as well as other administrative work.

What You'll Do:

Research and Analysis


Research, analyse, review and document regulatory frameworks on a wide-range of electronic communications topics impacting Bandwidth products and operational processes

Draft regulatory and compliance assessments, research papers, and other documents for both internal and external use

Monitor and report on changes in the law, regulations and industry practices that affect Bandwidth’s activities globally

Answer to internal and external questions, inquiries and consultations on routine and common regulatory and compliance topics

Liaise with appropriate regulatory authorities on routine and common regulatory and compliance topics



Regulatory, Compliance and Projects Support


Work with and support Regulatory Counsels with maintenance of the regulatory conditions of the countries in which Bandwidth operates, on regulatory and compliance topics, projects with regulatory impact as well as contract drafting and negotiations with suppliers

Provide support to the Regulatory Operations and Product Compliance Operations teams on common and routine regulatory topics



Documentation and Administrative Support


Create and maintain up-to-date regulatory documentation on a wide-variety of electronic communications topics and internal policies and procedures

Provide administrative support to the Global Regulatory team, including maintaining regulatory archives, regulatory filings and updating internal trackers, process and policy documents as well as any other documentation maintained by the team for both internal and external use


What You Need:

Education / Professional Experience:


Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law

Entry level with 0 - 2 years of work experience, preferably in-house and in a global technology-driven business

Exposure during studies or via work to regulated frameworks and electronic communications technologies is a plus

Keen to work in an international tech company with colleagues all around the globe



Technical Knowledge:


Basic knowledge and understanding of voice over IP technologies and cloud communications

Interest in communications and new technologies is a must

Outstanding level of IT literacy



Necessary Skills:


Fluent in legal and business English, another European language is a strong plus

Fast learner and able to grasp and explain complex regulatory and technology-related issues rapidly and accurately

Critically and analytically minded with a strong eye for details, a problem-solver and can-do attitude

Self-starter with self-driven initiative to continue learning
