Job Specifications

A leading global organisation is seeking a Lab Engineer to provide PC workstation, laptop, and printer hardware support within a pharmaceutical lab environment.

This will be an initial 12 month+ contract with the opportunity for multiple extensions.

This position will be based on-site in Hertfordshire, UK.

Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting hardware/software issues for lab systems
Configuring, patching, and managing lab PCs, including licenses
Working with external vendors to resolve system problems
Supporting lab instrumentation (e.g., Chromatography Data Systems, Mass Spec, Empower preferred)
Managing hardware inventory and decommissioning

Required Skills:
Experience with Windows 10, Linux, and iOS platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and Remedy Service Request
Prior experience in a lab or pharmaceutical setting is highly desirable

The IT-focused role will concentrate on corporate IT security, while the OT-focused role will require experience in industrial control systems (ICS) and SCADA security. These roles have been introduced to alleviate pressure on the Lead Security Architect and provide security architecture expertise across various projects.
