DevOps AWS Engineer - Core tasks:

Automate operations and optimise Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Strengthen security with AWS WAF, GuardDuty, and centralised logging.
Design and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure with high availability and disaster recovery.
Enhance system performance through continuous monitoring and optimisation.
Reduce costs by optimising resource usage and implementing cost-saving strategies.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines (Concourse CI, GitHub Actions).
Standardise configurations and maintain clear documentation.
Manage infrastructure with AWS CloudFormation and version control.
Implement monitoring solutions (AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, CloudTrail, Container Insights).
Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency.
Deploy and manage applications using AWS Amplify.
Research and integrate new technologies for continuous improvement.


Location: Hybrid – 3 days in a vibrant Altrincham office (Must be based in the UK without visa/Sponsorship requirements
Salary: £55k - £60k + exciting perks


What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering, particularly in serverless microservices architectures.
In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, S3, ECS/EKS, and CloudFormation.
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automating tasks and processes.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially using AWS CloudFormation.
Strong understanding of continuous integration and delivery tools, such as Concourse, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
Familiar with key networking concepts like DNS, load balancing, and VPC configurations.
Experience with AWS security tools such as WAF and GuardDuty to ensure secure cloud environments.
Skilled with AWS monitoring tools, including CloudWatch, X-Ray, and CloudTrail, to track and resolve issues.
Hands-on experience managing cloud databases, including MongoDB Atlas.
Preferred AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
A strong foundation in agile methodologies and DevOps culture, with practical experience.
Comfortable working alongside backend teams, contributing to Node.js development initiatives.
