We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join a leading SaaS provider on a fixed-term contract with the potential to transition to a permanent role. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, innovative environment, leveraging the latest Azure Cloud technologies. Requirements:

Proven experience managing Azure SQL Databases in a production environment. Strong expertise in SQL performance tuning and optimisation. Confidently query in SQL Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation within an Azure DevOps environment. Experience with DevOps tools Scripting Ability to integrate database administration with cloud automation tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to database management.

Key Responsibilities: Manage and optimize Azure SQL Databases and other SQL database platforms. Enhance SQL query performance, execution plans, and overall database efficiency. Oversee and implement Azure cloud services, including Azure SQL, Azure Monitor, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM). Develop and execute automated database provisioning, configuration, and scaling within Azure. Build CI/CD pipelines for database updates, schema migrations, and deployments using tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, or Ansible. Integrate database workflows into broader Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices. Utilize scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell and Python to drive automation and process improvements.

Additional Information

This role is hybrid, with flexibility around office attendance.
