About

Senior Python Developer / Backend Software Engineer London to £130k (2 year FTC)

Hedge Fund with over $10 billion under management is seeking a technologist Python Developer to join their Quant Analytics team to build a Greenfield quant library from scratch and be the go to person for software engineering within the team.

This is a senior, hands-on role where you can make a real impact; you'll take ownership working across the full software development lifecycle from requirements through to deployment with a focus on complex backend systems.

Location / WFH:

You'll join colleagues in the London office with flexibility to work from home once a week; there's a friendly and collaborative environment with casual dress code and a range of facilities.

About You

You are degree educated in a relevant discipline from a top tier university (Russel Group / Oxbridge), Computer Science preferred

You have expertise with Python

You have strong Git experience

You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals including OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms

You have a good knowledge of APIs

Experience within a finance / trading environment is beneficial but not necessary, technical skills of greater importance
