Our client, a rapidly growing medical diagnostics organisation is currently looking for a Head of Research & Development to join their team in Berkshire.
As the leader of the R&D team, you will focus on the identification and development of new products and building a robust pipeline to enable long term business growth. Combining your technical expertise with strong commercial acumen you will be focused on creating innovative medical diagnostic products.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast growing business with exciting growth plans and potential for this person.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the development and research of all new products
Manage R&D staff ensuring proper procedures are being followed
Build and develop the team
Carry out product evaluations and validations when necessary
Supervise new product developments from manufacturing to creating renders and marketing material
Create product instructions and protocols as well as patents
Requirements
Ideally, you will be educated to a degree level in an engineering science, biotechnology or microbiology discipline
Previous experience in a similar role particularly within the medical devices/diagnostics industry
Any exposure to microbiology would be useful
Thorough and proactive individual with excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication and leadership skills
