SENIOR AUTOMATION ENGINEER
We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract, and own the architecture and development of new integrations and automation solutions. This role requires a strong technical leader with experience in low-code platforms, TypeScript, and SQL, who can drive system efficiency while managing a cross-functional engineering team. You will be responsible for optimising data flows, enhancing backend integrations, and supporting Ecommerce re-platforming initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage a cross-functional team of Engineers, ensuring effective collaboration and performance
Design and implement data flow architectures between diverse backend systems and external providers
Develop new system integrations utilizing low-code platforms and TypeScript
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, migrate, and validate data integrity.
Deliver a robust infrastructure to support eCommerce re-platforming initiatives and enable future automation strategies
Identify and escalate potential risks or issues that could impact project delivery timelines
Break down the project requirements into actionable tasks and maintain visibility on the Kanban board
Partner with Project Managers to align on project progress, priorities, and deliverables
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
Proven expertise in developing low-code/no-code solutions for data integration
Hands-on involvement in at least one project utilizing fuzzy-matching logic within systems
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate challenges from multiple perspectives and identify optimal solutions based on time constraints and impact
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
