Smartedge’s Client is looking for an individual to help with their .NET/Cloud developer on a Contract role in London , UK (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
Strong programming skills in C#, Entity Framework to deliver target state invoicing platform
Highly desirable experience in programming on AWS platform - knowledge of AWS services, and scripting infrastructure as a file
Highly desirable experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Helms Charts, building deployment pipelines
Self-starter with good communications, able to deliver development tasks with minimal supervision
Develop high quality code, including working on a largely existing code base to enhance functionality
Attention to detail is a must, ensuring code is well tested and provides accurate and timely billing data for £10m’s of monthly invoices, and minimising defects for SIT and UAT teams
Good knowledge of relational database, SQL, PLSQL, PostGre, Amazon RDS
Familiarity and experience with RPGLE and CLLE is beneficial but not required.
Ideally, experience in working with broking and financial asset classes
Candidate must be adaptable, proactive & and self-starting
Preferred candidates are those than can pick up tickets from the backlog with little hand holding, deliver them to specification/AC’s
Chase down clarifications where requirements are poorly defined
Support newer joiners to the team as and when
Delivery focussed – chosen candidate should be a problem solver, NOT a problem gatherer

- We are currently working with an aerospace manufacturer who are seeking a CNC CAD/CAM Programmer for an ongoing project focused on the programming, setting, and production of documentation for CNC machines. 6-9 Month Initial Contract - Inside IR35 - Onsite (South Wales) Mon - Thurs Key Responsibilities: Take a 3D model and program the CNC machine process. Develop tooling and setup sheets. Prove out machining processes on CNC machines. Finalize documentation for seamless operator handover. Set up CNC machines using documented processes. Work on both milling and turning operations. Ensure high precision and compliance with aerospace industry standards. Essential Skills & Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in CNC programming, setting, and machining. Strong CAD/CAM programming skills, preferably using SolidCAM or InventorCAM. Proficiency in working with CNC machines (Mazak/ Doosan/ Star/ Fanuc/ Mazatrol) Experience with 3-axis to 5-axis CNC machines and sliding head machines.
