Data Support Engineer: Data, Azure, Databricks, Python, Linux, Insurance

Data Support Engineer required to join the Data Operations function for a leading Insurance organisation. Working on the Azure Cloud platform, you will support critical data applications such as Databricks &Phinsys and support the rollout of their brand new MDM tool.
You will have experience delivering data solutions for Cloud Platforms with knowledge in Azure technologies such as Databricks, ETL tools & MDM. This is a blended role, supporting the development and optimisation of the Data platform, so an understanding of infrastructure management is also required.

This is an ideal role for an Engineer with solid problem solving skills who is keen to support a scalable Azure Data Platform.

Responsibilities:
Support data applications such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks and MDM.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ETL processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data applications & platform
Identify gaps, define and deliver solutions for productions issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data platform and improve system performance
Requirements:
Proven experience supporting the development of Cloud Platforms
Strong understanding of Azure Cloud offerings. Knowledge of traditional BI stack is a bonus
Experience with Master Data Management tools and/or Data Quality and Governance
Demonstrate knowledge of infrastructure management and maintinence eg Linux, Windows Servers and Azure
Coding ability in Python and Spark is required
