UK-Based | Hybrid / Remote

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Solution Architect for a contract opportunity with a leading organisation. This role is ideal for a generalist with broad expertise across z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, and mainframe modernisation. You’ll be responsible for designing and optimising mainframe architectures, supporting cloud migrations, API integrations, and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance mainframe solutions
Define architecture roadmaps and ensure alignment with IT and business strategies
Lead mainframe modernisation, including cloud migration, API enablement, and DevOps adoption
Optimise z/OS, CICS, COBOL, DB2, MQ, IMS, and related technologies
Provide technical leadership in integration, automation, and performance tuning
Collaborate with enterprise architects, engineers, and key stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Mainframe Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments
Expertise in z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, COBOL, JCL, REXX, and Assembler
Experience with mainframe modernisation, cloud integration, and API development
Strong understanding of high availability, security, and disaster recovery on mainframes
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools for mainframes
Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership across projects

Key Responsibilities: Money Support & Business Monitoring/Administration: Maintain reporting and data collection for compliance purposes. Ensure compliance with HMRC and banking regulations. Conduct financial and counterparty due diligence and monitor any associated risks. Review monthly reports from vessels, escalate discrepancies, and assist in investigations of unbalanced floats and incorrect reporting. Review suspicious activity reports from vessels and escalate to the Compliance Officer as necessary. Onboard Gaming Support: Handle gaming refund requests and monitor customer service related to gaming issues. Organize and escalate gaming claims requiring Head Office approval. Provide training to staff to ensure adherence to responsible gaming policies. Review monthly gaming reports and escalate discrepancies. Other Compliance Support: Manage whistleblowing cases and ensure proper reporting. Support the rollout of training and communications on compliance and governance topics. Provide advisory support on best practices regarding procedures such as PCI, GDPR, and ABC (Anti-Bribery and Corruption). Qualifications & Experience: Ideally, some experience with compliance, with a focus on areas such as AML, gaming, or financial monitoring. Preferably, an ICA (International Compliance Association) qualification or a similar certification, indicating the correct mindset for compliance work. Some experience in the gaming industry is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. Working Arrangement: Fully remote with periodic visits to Greater London; or Partially remote with 2 days a week in Greater London. About the Role: Stanton House is working with a PE Backed manufacturing business seeking an Interim FP&A Business Partner – Data Project to support a critical Oracle ERP system implementation. This short-term project role is focused on data cleansing and preparation, ensuring data integrity across our global operations. Key Responsibilities: Business partner cross-functional teams to drive data standardisation and support a seamless ERP implementation. Conduct extensive data integrity work, reviewing and correcting manufacturing and financial data to align with the new ERP system. Address significant challenges related to historical uncontrolled master data management, requiring manual intervention and thorough verification. Extract and validate high-volume data reports, ensuring accuracy in formulas, item costings, and the entire manufacturing process chain. Identify and resolve cost roll-up errors (e.g., currently 432 errors in the UK alone). Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to key stakeholders, gaining buy-in for necessary changes. Ideal Candidate Profile: Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in manufacturing or FMCG sectors. Strong Excel skills, with experience handling large data volumes and ensuring data accuracy. Experience working on ERP implementations or financial transformation projects is highly desirable. A proactive problem-solver with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to challenge existing processes and collaborate across teams to improve data governance.
