Role - Expert level Network & Security Engineer
Location - City of London (will accept EU candidates if they are highly relevant)
Duration - 12 months rolling
Contract type - Inside IR35.
Responsibilities
Own and troubleshoot network-related incidents from first alert to resolution.
Provide excellent customer-facing support when liaising with users.
Collaborate with team members and other internal teams.
Manage vendor relationships for incident resolution.
Maintain and, when necessary, create comprehensive network data diagrams and documentation.
Conduct project activities according to specified timelines.
Deliver network data project tasks and objectives assigned to the team.
Support and maintain all NSS duties, including data, security, and infrastructure.
Participate in shift rotations for after-office hours, on-call, and weekend work as required.
Managing Cisco routing and switching environments
Implementing and supporting network security measures
Required skills:
Strong understanding of ISO layers, IP addressing, and subnetting.
Proficiency in Layer 3 path control, IPv4 redistribution, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP solutions.
Experience with Layer 2 switching and VLANs, including high availability and multicast.
Cisco NX-OS, IOS, ACI. ISE, Meraki
Firewalls: Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Cisco ASA
Tetration for workload protection and security analytics
F5 BigIP load balancer management
Maintaining and monitoring network performance
Troubleshooting multi-protocol system networks
