Application Support Engineer required to join a leading broadcasting and media company to support a suite of bespoke business applications used both internally, as well as the cloud platform that hosts and enables them.

The Application Support Engineer will primarily focus on incident resolution and proactive monitoring of alerts, ensuring the smooth operation of key applications and services. A key aspect of the role involves investigating and identifying the root cause of service-affecting incidents, working closely with cross functional technical teams. Additionally, the role includes proactively addressing monitoring events, such as clearing log files and resolving message build-ups in queues, as well as implementing monitoring and observability tools for applications. Additionally, the role involves Operational Acceptance Testing, validating new or updated applications and services before they transition into full operational use.

This is not a customer support position and is instead focused on the continuous improvement and proactive fixes of the application suite. Our client are looking for someone with a process-driven, problem-solving and out of the box thinking mindset who is looking to explore new technologies and further their career.

Required Skills:
Experience in application and platform support
Experience working in a Microsoft modern workplace environment
Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and observability tools.
Knowledge of incident response and resolution
