The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a skilled IT Engineer to join a technical team providing support and services to customers across the Midlands. This role involves working on various operating systems and hardware, supporting customers via a helpdesk, and delivering onsite assistance when required. A strong focus on customer service and effective resource management is essential.
The position involves a mix of office-based and onsite work, with occasional out-of-hours support.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, including associated hardware.
Handling technical incidents and service requests.
Providing escalation support for other engineers.
Responding effectively to customer inquiries.
Requirements
Experience in technologies including Windows 10 / 11, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Cloud Hosting (Azure, AWS), Virtualization Technologies (Hyper-V or VMware), Firewall Management
Desirables
Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies
Ability to communicate technical concepts in simple terms
Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional high-priority service issues outside of core hours
Must hold a valid UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical role
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Firewall Management
Valid UK driving license
