Responsible for receiving requests from Business Application & Security teams, translate the requirements from the request into advanced firewall policy rulesets which can then be installed on network security infrastructure. Responsible for the technical day-to-day engineering of the network security solutions including work prioritization, request, incident, problem, and change management. Responsible for maintaining policies, procedures, and training plans for network security technologies. Work closely with the customers IT Information Security teams to ensure overall security requirements of network connectivity are achieved. Implement and maintain network security best practices by assessing current threats, vulnerabilities, risk, lifecycle of equipment, & associated technical countermeasures. Responsible for requesting quotes from vendors, high level financial budgeting, & maintaining accurate records of equipment/licenses. Other projects or duties as assigned annually by leadership based on high level goals & business needs. Required Skills and Experience: English language fluently in speak and written Bachelor's Degree in technology discipline or 2 years of experience in IT. Experience with medium to large enterprises with multiple remote locations and users. Ability to understand enterprise security requirements, develop designs and solutions that align and meet requirements for the IT and business roadmaps. 2+ years of experience working with application owners and other IT stakeholders to build and support the most efficient and stable security capabilities. Strong ability to clearly document system design elements including use of appropriate documentation tools. Must be able to demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in previously mentioned areas. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical audiences. Ability to work extended hours or weekends, as necessary.
