Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team in Antwerp. You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities
Design and Develop scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data.
Implement and Optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our data operations.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
Maintain and Monitor data systems to ensure high availability and performance.
Ensure Data Quality and Integrity through best practices and effective data management techniques.
Stay Updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and propose innovative solutions to improve our data infrastructure.
Essential Skills and Tools
Proven Experience in data engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
Strong Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Experience with Big Data Technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
Proficiency in Programming Languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their data services.
Experience with ETL Tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, AWS Glue, Talend).
Knowledge of Data Warehousing Concepts and tools like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
Understanding of Data Modeling and Database Design.
Experience with Version Control Systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent Problem-Solving Skills and attention to detail.
Strong Communication Skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Containerization Technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Machine Learning and Data Science Workflows.
Certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering are a plus.
