Data Classification Specialist - 6 month Outside Contract

Orbition Group continue to work with one of the world's top general insurance and reinsurance organisations.

This role would be suited to someone that see's themselves as a delivery-focused specialist who can take a strategic approach to classification while also driving the hands-on execution of a scalable, technology enabled framework.

Responsibilities include:
Lead the design, development and implementation of a global data classification framework, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Deliver technology solutions to automate data classification across structured and unstructured data sources.
Work with IT teams to integrate classification tools into existing data management, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and security solutions.
Collaborate with security, compliance, and data governance teams to ensure classification aligns with regulatory and business requirements.
Lead the end-to-end delivery of data classification initiatives, including proof-of-concept, pilot programs, and full-scale rollout.

Key Experience Needed:
Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide data classification frameworks
Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance best practices
Hands-on experience with data classification technologies, DLP solutions, and automation tools.
Expertise in integrating classification frameworks with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), M365, and enterprise data repositories.
Ability to define and deliver a strategic roadmap for data classification, ensuring long-term sustainability.

Location: London
Hybrid: 4 days a week in the office
Contract Length: 6 months, strong possibility for renewal
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: £600 p/d
