Technical Business Analyst - Finance Systems & BI - Inside IR35
Location: London, UK
Hybrid Working Model
Paritas is looking for a Technical BA who is adept in analysis and design techniques to solve business problems through information technology specialising in data and analytics.
Primary responsibilities:
Stakeholder management and communication, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Problem solving, including triaging issues in conjunction with developers, testers and end users
Create and maintain technical design artefacts, integration workflows, technical user stories and training material
Develop and maintain detailed data modelling, design and integration documentation for modern data platforms
Coordinate workshops including value stream mapping, technical requirements gathering and training
Understand, maintain and assist with support of reporting and analytic systems for the region and ensure alignment with global standards and processes, with a strong emphasis on data governance and security
Collaborate with developers, testers and BA’s to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements using agile methodologies
Assist with information delivery including ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Identify opportunities to improve system performance, integration and analytics capabilities, leverage both on-premise and cloud-based solutions
Qualifications, skills & experience
Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Analytics/IT or related discipline.
5 Years Experience as a technical business analyst working with financial systems and information
Strong understanding of the concepts of business intelligence including data warehousing
Strong experience with BI applications and reporting, ideally the Microsoft stack and Business Objects
Excellent SQL query skills, with data analysis skills in Python or R an advantage
Strong data wrangling and preparation skills
Understanding of design best practices around visualisation and data presentation
Legal (or professional) services experience will be highly regarded as will exposure to Aderant Expert
Understanding of agile methodology and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Ability to trace and understand data lineage from source systems to data warehouse and reports
Experience managing conflicting priorities from different stakeholders
