Senior Infrastructure Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who is passionate about driving excellence in IT infrastructure management and excited to lead the firm into a new era of technology-driven solutions. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with senior IT leadership to ensure our on-premise and cloud infrastructure is top-notch, resilient, and ready to meet tomorrow's challenges.
Key Highlights of the Role:
Strategic IT Leadership: Collaborate with the Head of IT Operations and Cyber Security Manager to set the future direction of technology at the firm, with a focus on proactive planning and operational excellence.
Hands-On Impact: Maintain, support, and enhance the firm's physical and virtual infrastructure, ensuring seamless business continuity.
Innovation & Efficiency: Lead infrastructure projects, manage critical incidents, and contribute to the firm's ongoing strategic technology improvement program.
Essential Skills
Must haves are: i. Operational and implementation experience of on premise infrastructure, covering servers, storage, Microsoft Hyper-V virtualisation layer and LAN routing, switching and Wi-Fi (preferably some experience with Dell switches)
ii. Operational and implementation experience of Azure IaaS and Azure Active Directory (Entra)
iii. Operational and implementation experience of managing laptops and iPhones through Intune and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
5+ years of ITIL-based service delivery experience within a law firm or similar professional environment.
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, Windows Server, Azure, and network infrastructure
Skilled in tools like SCCM, Intune, PowerShell, Hyper-V, and SQL.
Experience with legal industry applications and a robust understanding of security, data protection, and emerging technology trends
