Wenham Carter are partnered with an innovative Insurtech start-up that’s modernising the insurance industry. They’ve developed a cutting-edge, digital-first platform enabling tier 1 automotive clients to create, launch, and manage unique insurance experiences quickly and at scale.
They are seeking a Frontend Engineer to support the growth and evolution of their insurance platform as they expand into new products, partnerships, and regions.
Responsibilities
Several years of experience in developing highly scalable and high-performing web applications.
In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and React.
Proficiency in managing frontend state using React hooks and context.
Familiarity with component-based design systems and CSS-in-JS methodologies.
Experience working with RESTful APIs.
Solid understanding of identity and session management principles.
Hands-on experience with test-driven development (TDD).
Proficiency in Git or similar distributed version control systems.
Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and debugging issues across the entire tech stack.
Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
Additional Requirements
Knowledge of Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
Experience with AWS, particularly for web hosting.
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or similar.
Understanding of styled systems and styled components.
Experience publishing JavaScript libraries as NPM packages.
Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (e.g., CircleCI).
Awareness of server-side technologies such as Kotlin, Gradle, and Dropwizard.
Experience working with relational databases, including Postgres.
