Network Architect
Coventry (Hybrid working 3 days per week on site)
Up to £75,000 + bonus D.O.E
We are looking for a Network Architect will provide technical leadership and direction to a global team of network engineers, ensuring the delivery of engineering and service workloads for our client. You will identify growth opportunities, support transformation programs, and drive business-driven initiatives. The role includes maintaining network tools and infrastructure to ensure high service levels and developing a future roadmap for client network infrastructure. Travel and occasional out-of-hours work may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as Technical Design Authority, ensuring high/low-level designs align with security, contractual, and service needs.
Develop and implement technical architecture roadmaps that optimise ROI and reduce technical debt.
Lead integration of third-party SDWAN and hosted voice solutions into existing infrastructure.
Manage security, documentation, and reporting requirements.
Drive network automation, capacity analysis, and planning initiatives.
Provide thought leadership and oversee delivery of business outcomes.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and third-party vendors while holding them accountable for design aspects.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure seamless integration of third-party technologies.
Mentor and guide the technical development of engineering and service teams.
Evaluate change impacts, create reports, and maintain adherence to technical standards.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, with expertise in cloud networking, SDN, security, and automation.
Key Skills and Experience:
Extensive experience as a Senior Network Architect.
Proficiency in LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD networks, telephony, unified communications, network management, and security solutions.
Strong knowledge of Cisco SDWAN, Mitel VOIP, and Fortigate or Cloud Firewalls.
Ability to document end-to-end designs and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently in distributed agile teams.
It would be advantageous if you had experience with AWS/Azure networking, VPCs, and transit gateway, proficiency in Python, PowerShell, APIs, and Active Directory.
