Working with a leading software technology Solutions company which designs, builds and operates technology solutions for the global capital markets. My client operate regulatory-led capital market infrastructures that combine robust governance and transparency with high operational efficiency to secure the services of a Business Analyst to join the London team. My client also operate market-led infrastructures that provide automated solutions to their clients for previously manual processes. Their focus on governance, efficiency and automation has resulted in their solutions being sought after by the overseers and operators of global capital markets.
My client is the Managed Services Partner for the Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB), which is a fully automated generator of International Securities Identification Numbers (ISINs) for financial services counterparties trading OTC derivatives. The DSB is the first numbering agency designed to operate on a global basis and to meet the particular requirements of the derivatives markets
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Business Analyst with a broad knowledge of financial derivatives (both exchange traded and OTC) married to experience in the specification of significant IT solutions.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, business acumen, and excellent communication skills. The candidate will act as the SME for the definition of derivative products and be responsible for identifying, analysing, and documenting business requirements, processes, and workflows. Theywill work closely with stakeholders, including management, clients, and technical teams, to identify areas of improvement and to develop and implement solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
The documentation of project terms of reference.
The design and documentation of process workflows.
The collection, collation and documentation of business requirements.
The design of solutions that address the requirements.
The generation of user stories based on the requirements.
Collaboration and continuous communication with the relevant technical teams.
The generation of test packs and the verification of system functionality.
Team Leadership:
Lead a high-performing scrum team across projects.
Set clear goals and objectives for the team and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Data Analysis:
Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to provide actionable recommendations.
Develop and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Utilise data analytics tools and techniques to uncover trends and insights.
Process Optimisation:
Support process improvement and work closely with cross-functional teams to implement changes.
Streamline business processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Assist Project Manager with continuous improvements to the technical development processes.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree level education.
Demonstrable understanding of financial derivative products - including structure, market behaviour and regulations across different asset classes.
Proven experience in creating requirements documents and specifications.
Strong documentation skills.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience working closely with development teams.
