Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Project Manager to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale AEM projects from inception to delivery, while ensuring quality, client satisfaction, and efficient resource allocation. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of AEM's capabilities and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery for AEM-based web and digital content management solutions.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and roadmaps in collaboration with the client and internal teams.
Define and document project scope, deliverables, and key milestones based on client requirements and business needs.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring regular updates and maintaining strong relationships.
Gather client requirements, conduct discovery sessions, and translate business needs into technical deliverables.
Present project status, timelines, and potential risks to stakeholders, and resolve any concerns or issues promptly.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
Lead cross-functional teams, including AEM developers, designers, quality assurance, and content managers, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
Provide guidance on AEM best practices, solutions architecture, and project methodologies.
Assign tasks and responsibilities based on team expertise, ensuring deadlines and project goals are met.
Budget & Resource Management:
Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any issues or delays that could impact the budget or timeline.
Risk & Issue Management:
Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays or budget overruns.
Manage escalations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that project deliverables meet client expectations.
Quality Assurance & Testing:
Ensure all AEM solutions meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support quality assurance efforts, ensuring deliverables are thoroughly tested before go-live.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting:
Post-project analysis to review outcomes, gather feedback, and implement lessons learned for continuous process improvement.
Prepare and present detailed project reports to clients and internal leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
5+ years of project management experience in digital transformation, with a focus on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
Proven track record of successfully managing AEM implementations for websites, mobile apps, or digital platforms.
Solid experience in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of AEM architecture, components, templates, workflows, and integrations.
Familiarity with AEM features such as content management, digital asset management, personalization, and multi-site management.
Understanding of Front End and Back End technologies used with AEM (eg, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, REST APIs).
Leadership & Management Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and resolve conflicts in high-pressure environments.
Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to anticipate challenges and take proactive steps to resolve them.
Project Management Tools:
Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
Familiarity with version control systems (eg, Git, SVN) and continuous integration tools.
Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or similar project management certifications.
Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in AEM is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AEM Sites, AEM Assets, AEM Forms, or other related Adobe products.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, especially in the context of AEM deployments.
Experience with enterprise-level implementations of AEM in sectors such as E-commerce, Healthcare, Finance, or Media.
