About The Role

We now have a fantastic opportunity for Software Engineer to join us on a fixed term contract basis in our Research and Development team.
Within This Role You Will
Assist in the requirements gathering process to help ensure requirements contain enough information and fact to support design, development and implementation.
Participate in ‘Agile’ development team to develop software designs and specifications based on system level requirements and in accordance with defined development procedures.
Actively participate in sprint and release planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
Design software that meets the requirements of the business and users with scope for extensibility, ease of maintenance, supportability and configuration.
Provide support, consultancy and assistance to colleagues and other areas within allpay as required.
Maintain and improve current skillset by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need to:
Experience of using object oriented programming languages, especially C# and .NET.
Experience of using SQL Server or equivalent directly via Management interface or software application.
The ability to solve problems and provide workable solutions or workarounds. Ability to continually learn and adapt to new technologies and implement where suitable.
Experience with Microsoft Azure platform and services desirable. Web Frontend development experience beneficial and desirable.
Possess good knowledge of software and hardware environments including networking.
This role is hybrid at our offices near Hereford, commutable from Birmingham, Gloucester, Cheltenham or Worcester.

About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Azure Data Engineer on a fixed term contract to join our Data team at allpay limited.
As an Azure Data Engineer some of your key duties will be to:
Deliver data solutions in accordance with agreed organisational standards that ensure services are resilient, scalable and future-proof.
Ensure data is secured across different clients and in line with legislation.
Ensure that test data is masked appropriately in development and test systems.
Triage data pipeline problems and data-related issues and coordinate between teams to ensure successful resolution.
Liaise with all allpay departments and involvement in projects for future customer requirements and implementations. Will need to work very closely with all IT departments to meet with and exceed client expectations.
Design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines to connect operational systems, data for analytics and BI systems
Deliver services that are automated, reliable and secure
About You
You’ll demonstrate to us that you have:
Degree or qualification/experience obtained in the field of Computer Science, IT, engineering, Maths, Physics or equivalent
Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate desirable.
Designing, building, and optimising data ingestion/ETL pipelines suitable for on-prem and Cloud-based architectures.
Azure technologies: Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Cosmos, Azure Data Explorer, Logic apps, and KQL-Kusto.
Data warehousing, Kimball’s methodology, in particular.
Detailed understanding structured database systems, including MS SQL Server (essential) and MySQL (desirable)
Advanced knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures and triggers. Ability to tune and optimise query performance, recommend indexes.

About The Role
We now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Test Analyst to join our quality assurance team on fixed term contract basis.
Within This Role You Will Be
Analysing Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, business processes and associated documentation to identify all test conditions and scenarios.
Designing and implementing test cases, specifications, plans and procedures for testing all required conditions and ensuring suitable coverage and taking a risk based approach.
Accurately tracking and reporting testing progress
Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation for plans, procedures and report
Liaising with the software developers to achieve defect resolution, recommending corrective action where appropriate
Attend project meetings and provides technical expertise as required.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need to:
Be creative in writing manual and automated test plans, cases and scripts coming up with new ways to test functionality
have experience of using Azure DevOps or equivalent software testing tool
have experience of executing automation tests, ideally from within DevOps/VSTS
be confident working with SQL databases (ideally MS SQL) and have experience of querying and manipulating data.
be well organised, have exceptional attention to detail and be self-motivated to ensure software releases are completed in a timely manner
be able to build relationships with wider allpay teams
have experience of working in a fast paced, demanding environment with changing priorities
be driven to succeed with the ability to contribute into the wider IT testing space
enjoy learning new technology and techniques and seeing how these can be implemented at allpay
Ideally have a background in a financial services environment although this is not essential
Ideally ISEB/ISTQB certified
