Optical Engineer with Optical Payload experience required for design and verification contract for space instrument for ESA mission
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
Comprehensive Optical Design knowledge for space / satellite applications.
Strong Optical design experience with Optic Studio (Zemax) is essential.
Design and analysis software knowledge with SolidWorks, Ansys, SigFit, Python preferred.
Good working knowledge or understanding of electronics, opto-mechanics and electro-optical device physics.
Experience with Optical Payloads (AIV) and Image Processing.
Experience with appropriate materials and component selection, preferably within the space domain.

Optical Ground Support Equipment experience would be desirable.

Software Tester | EdTech / SaaS | £33,000 - £37,000 | Hybrid (1 day onsite every 3 weeks)
Software Tester required to join a technology company positively making a difference to peoples lives. We are excited to be working with an award winning EdTech company, creating data analysis tools to ensure students can fulfil their best potential. This role will be for an enthusiastic Software Tester, who will be joining a rapidly growing team where your work will help to make a positive impact on society.
Working as part of a small and friendly team in an Agile environment the Software Tester will be required to undertake manual testing activities on their web-based application whilst supporting a move to automated testing longer term. Great opportunity to up-skill into automation testing with 1 day per sprint to work on personal projects and training!
About You:
2 years+ experience of working in a QA role / software tester
Experience of testing web applications
Experience of designing and executing manual tests in a browser
Adept at creating, developing and managing test data
It would be ideal, but not essential if you had experience of automated testing technologies such as Selenium or Nightwatch and experience of working in an Agile environment.

Are you an AIT Engineer looking for a new contract opportunity? Do you have experience working in the Space & Satellite sector? Do you want to work on cutting edge spacecraft and payload projects?
Then this might be the role for you!
Join our client’s dynamic team as an AIT Engineer, playing a key role in the assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of spacecraft and payloads. You’ll oversee and execute mission-critical ground test phases, working closely with project managers and system engineers to deliver fully tested spaceflight hardware.
Key Responsibilities
Lead spacecraft and payload AIT activities from planning to execution.
Manage test teams, ensuring alignment with system schedules and requirements.
Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and verification strategies.
Oversee system-level testing and act as an expert spacecraft system operator.
Support mission commissioning, ground segment activities, and external test campaigns.
Liaise with internal teams and external customers, contributing to design and project reviews.
What You’ll Need
Degree/HND/HNC in engineering or a related discipline.
Hands-on experience with spaceflight hardware, integrated system testing, and verification/validation.
Strong problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills.
Knowledge of EGSE, RF communications, electrical/electronic systems, and spaceflight materials.
Ability to work in dynamic environments, including overseas travel and flexible hours.
