We’re Hiring: Junior Cloud Engineer
Are you ready to take your next step into the exciting world of cloud technology? We’re looking for a Junior Cloud Engineer to join our team and help deploy, support, and enhance our cutting-edge software solutions within an AWS cloud infrastructure.
What You’ll Do:
Set up and deploy our software using Terraform and Ansible.
Triage, review, and escalate customer alerts, incidents, and service requests.
Ensure all tasks are completed within agreed SLAs.
Create knowledge base troubleshooting articles for recurring issues.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide exceptional product and service support.
Learn and grow your expertise in AWS technologies, working towards Foundation and Associate-level certifications.
Essential Skills:
2+ years of experience in frontline technical support or equivalent.
Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call support rota.
Experience with Linux command-line utilities such as grep, sed, awk, and top.
A can-do attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow in the Cloud Operations team.
Excellent attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills (written and verbal).
Desirable Skills:
Understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Experience with scripting languages.
Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
Experience in creating knowledge base troubleshooting articles.

Job Description
Net Talent are delighted to have been engaged by a long-standing client as they look to add an M365 Engineer to their IT team based in Glasgow. Our client is an employee-owned investment business that has been operating for over a century. Technology is at the heart of what they do and as such they have a strong team of IT professionals working across the UK. As they continue to evolve their tech stack, they are looking for a M365 Engineer to join their Glasgow based IT function.

As an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with experience of designing, building and implementing the Microsoft 365 suite. The M365 Engineer will be a key member of within the IT function working with other technical teams, users, and stakeholders to enhance the company’s use of the Microsoft 365 toolset. This will include gathering stakeholder requirements to design and build robust solutions and provide ongoing support for those applications. In order to be successful in this role, you will complement your technical skills with excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with business users.

Key responsibilities
Advocate M365 solutioning by way of designing, building and delivering technical solutions working with cross functional teams.
Ensure security and compliance is maintained within M365 solutions delivered.
Guide, train and support end users to master M365 applications.
Document and maintain documentation for solutions implemented.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of M365 estate and ongoing feature developments and best practices.

Skills required
Proven experience of M365 application architecture, configuration and administration
Understanding of Power Platform
Awareness of Azure DevOps
Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID
Knowledge of security and compliance features within M365
Scripting skills
