Your mission
As Regional QESH (Quality, Environment, Safety & Health) Responsible, you play a crucial role in ensuring compliance, safety, and sustainability across our operations in the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region. You will drive the implementation of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), enforce global QESH policies, and support our affiliates in optimizing safety and environmental practices.
You will work from one of our locations in Pakistan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, or Ivory Coast and collaborate closely with regional teams, headquarters, and external stakeholders. Frequent travel within the region is part of the role, as you will be engaging directly with site teams to assess risks, implement best practices, and drive improvements.
Your key responsibilites
ISO Compliance & Policy Deployment
Guide affiliates in achieving and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications.
Implement global QESH policies while aligning with local regulations.
Support audits and ensure best practices in chemical distribution, warehousing, and logistics.
Site Visits & Operational Support
Conduct regular visits to assess compliance and support local teams.
Train and mentor staff in chemical safety, storage, and transport.
Implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
Sustainability & Safety in Supply Chain
Support EcoVadis sustainability assessments and align regional efforts with corporate goals.
Ensure safe storage, hazardous materials handling, and transportation safety.
Oversee incident reporting and third-party compliance.
Reporting & Stakeholder Collaboration
Consolidate regional QESH performance data and report to headquarters.
Identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
Act as key liaison between affiliates, headquarters, and external partners.
What do you need to be successful in your mission?
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
Proven experience in a QESH leadership role within chemical distribution, supply chain, or warehousing.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 implementation and audits.
Experience with EcoVadis or other sustainability rating systems.
Expertise in hazardous materials handling, chemical safety, and logistics regulations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical mindset with experience in reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Willingness to travel extensively within the MEA region.
