Job title: Senior Security Engineer – Microsoft Estate
Role Summary:
Senior-level engineer responsible for securing Microsoft environments (Azure, Entra ID/AD, Office 365) with a focus on identity, access management, and compliance. Designs, implements, and maintains secure architectures, hardens end‑user compute, and collaborates with SOC for detection, response, and continuous monitoring.
Expactations:

- Proven ability to translate operational needs into technical controls.
- Experience in leading projects that enhance security posture and compliance.
- Strong communication skills to bridge engineering and SOC analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure architectures for Entra ID/Azure AD, Azure, and Office 365.
- Harden end‑user compute environments (Windows, Intune, Defender, GPO).
- Manage identity and access controls: conditional access, MFA, role‑based access, and privileged identity management.
- Partner with SOC analysts to improve detection engineering, SIEM tuning, and incident response.
- Contribute to compliance and audit initiatives, ensuring alignment with ISO, NIST, and internal standards.
- Support threat hunting and incident response with deep Microsoft environment expertise.
- Manage and enhance security posture tools and continuous monitoring solutions (NSGs, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, DLP, Purview).
Required Skills:
- Hands‑on experience securing Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID/AD.
- Proficiency with Azure security controls (NSGs, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel).
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 security (Defender for Endpoint, DLP, Purview).
- Strong understanding of identity and access management, compliance tooling, and configuration management.
- Experience hardening end‑user compute (Windows 10/11, Intune, Defender policies, GPO).
- Familiarity with SOC operations: detection engineering, SIEM tuning, security monitoring.
- Ability to bridge engineering and operational requirements.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP) a plus.
