We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of hardware and software components, primarily at customer locations.

Working pattern: Wednesday - Sunday (40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
Execute a device refresh project covering approximately 700 systems that do not meet Windows 11 compatibility.
Act as an on-site support specialist, assisting specific clients with various technical needs, including tech kiosks and desks.
Provide hardware, software, and networking support for desktops, laptops, servers, network devices, AV rooms, and other IT infrastructure.
Install and maintain PCs, peripherals, networks, servers, and software.
Support network operations, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Perform installations, relocations, upgrades, and system modifications as needed.
Conduct testing and certification of PCs, networks, servers, and client-approved applications.
Address technical issues and escalate when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain a high level of professionalism in conduct, communication, and appearance.
Meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED (required)
Certifications: Technical certifications or an Associate Degree (preferred)

Virtualization Specialist

Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing virtualization solutions utilizing both VMware and Citrix XenServer.
You will play a key role in virtual machine migrations between these platforms while ensuring optimal performance, security, and system stability.
Your expertise will contribute to refining our virtualization approach and aligning it with our business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
Architect, implement, and oversee virtualization environments with VMware and Citrix XenServer.
Develop and execute strategies for seamless virtual machine migration between these platforms, minimizing operational impact.
Evaluate the existing virtualization setup and formulate structured migration plans.
Set up, configure, and maintain VMware and Citrix XenServer systems to ensure peak performance and security.
Conduct pre-migration testing and validation to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
Monitor virtualization environments for performance anomalies, troubleshooting issues and implementing proactive solutions.
Maintain thorough documentation of virtualization procedures, configurations, and best practices.
Work closely with IT and network teams to guarantee seamless integration and connectivity across virtualized systems.
Offer training and support to IT personnel on best practices and troubleshooting techniques for VMware and Citrix XenServer.
Keep up with emerging trends and advancements in virtualization technologies to enhance our infrastructure.

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Extensive experience in designing, managing, and transitioning virtual machines between VMware and Citrix XenServer.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities with expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex virtualization challenges.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative work approach.
Familiarity with Citrix NetScaler is a plus.
Proficiency in Bash and PowerShell scripting.
Strong background in Windows Server administration.
Experience with Linux server management is an advantage.
Exposure to cloud resource management in Azure or GCP is beneficial.
