Your Role

We are seeking an experienced cloud engineer to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your extended cloud knowledge to enhance our self-service platform provisioning, contribute to our technical choices and roadmaps, and train and onboard your colleagues. You will leverage your deep understanding of cloud best practices and your expertise in cloud computing to drive our platform initiatives forward.

Your Opportunity

Lead the design and implementation of self-service platform provisioning solutions
Drive the onboarding process for new services and features
Ensure adherence to cloud good practices and promote well-designed cloud applications
Monitor and optimize services for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
Provide on-call support and act as an SRE during troubleshooting phases and incidents
Promote and share best practices in DevOps through training sessions, onboarding programs and skill sharing initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate cloud budget management to develop and provide robust tooling that enhances operational efficiency and resource allocation

What You'll Need

In-depth expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Advanced knowledge of cloud best practices and well-designed cloud applications
Advanced knowledge of at least one hyperscale: AWS is a valuable bonus, however, expertise in Azure and the willingness to improve skills in AWS is also welcome
Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes (including scaling strategy, resources management)
Proficiency in services monitoring, including logging and observability
Experience with on-call support
Familiarity with cloud budget management
Fluent in English: 90% of our meetings are conducted in English
Strong communication: Ability to convey complex concepts clearly and efficiently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Team collaboration: Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams to create a supportive and cooperative environment
Leadership and mentorship: Ability to lead initiatives, mentor junior engineers and influence team practices positively
Adaptability: Willingness to embrace changes and adjust to evolving priorities, technologies and processes
Problem solving: Strong analytical thinking and problem solving abilities to address challenges in a timely manner
Time management: Organisational skills to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
Cultural awareness: Sensitivity to diverse work environments and the ability to work effectively with teams from various backgrounds
